David Cameron, stop letting the people of this country down. Come out of your ivory tower and see what you are doing to the working class. Stop letting us down.

If you are as committed to the "Northern Powerhouse" as you constantly say you are, then it would make sense to kept as many people in employment as possible. If you manage to bail out the banks then surely this is of equal importance?

The closure of this site will result in huge issues for the North East not only will it increase unemployment resulting in more people on the dole costing the tax payer more money but will also have a knock on effect for local businesses as families will not be spending money with them!

The Redcar steelworks is vital to the Teeside and North East economy and beyond. The government should recognise the importance of steelmaking in this country and step in to support this industry.

Steel, heavy industry, chemicals. That has been the lifeblood of Teesside for generations. The innovative, hard working people, who have given the world so much and so many ideas, need some help from their government.
