I'm not a fan of the protectionist stance towards industry demanded by this petition. However, Teesside is really suffering from unemployment, and we should help secure the remaining jobs in the area, and ideally encourage expansion and future investment.

Yet another nail in the coffin of Teesside's industrial heritage. Hasn't this area been savaged enough by successive governments destroying our Steel Industry, Ship Building and Petrochemical Industry. Do the right thing!
