We paid for the banks to be saved yet seem to want to do nothing for the steel industry,It's not just the industry which will perish it's the other businesses which rely on this industry. Don't let Redcar become another community destroyed for generations by Tory incompetence.

Really, are the Tories systematically destroying every working class community in the country? Maggie's evil ghost haunts us still!

I was a teenager when Thatcher decimated the coal industry in the North East. Her actions left whole communities split, without work and without money . Here we are thirty years later, fighting the same battle. I hope this makes a difference.

If Cameron cares about British people then he should intervene and give an emergency lian to help the steelworks and thousands of jobs.

if you could save the banks you need to save our steel industry. We need more than just badly paid service industry jobs. Your policies are obviously not working and instead of subsidising the Chinese I suggest you spend the money at home.

The British steel industry is such a huge part of people living in Redcar. Poverty rates are so high in the area and people's livelihoods are being played with. Families will be going without and poverty will rise. Rather than bailing banks out and claiming all sorts on expenses, how about pledging money to the steel industry and keeping the steelworks alive quite simply for the fact families and the economy will suffer.
