Something must be done to save our heritage. The government let it close last time and did nothing SSI came in and resurrected the industry which was amazing feat in itself. Now the government must ensure that it can continue to produce with the financial assistance they require.

It's not just the workers at SSI that will be affected by the shut down. There are other local companies that rely on them too. Which means greater knock on effect of job losses.
