We have had enough of the destruction of our communities and aspirations. Skills in steelmaking can never be replaced.

Why is our PM spending 25million on a Prison whilst British industry is facing a stark future.? Our country and society is becoming increasingly fragmented, fractured and polarised whilst the few gain and the ordinary man and woman work for their two weeks in the sun. Silver spoons soon get tarnished Mr Cameron!

This is about quality over quantity. Is it so terrible to pay a little more and have a better product that preserves jobs and communities? I think not!

Total devastation! Hasn't the Industrial North East been hit enough? How is the local economy supposed to survive this? We need intervention and investment NOW

I'm on your side. Can't believe what I heard on the one show that people worked over time then not paid. It stinks. Appalling. Makes me so angry. Maybe it is time for new labour leader...who I wasn't sure of...to shake things up. We must not let this kind of thing to go on. Good luck and my thoughts are with all of you

Don't understand how economically and politically the government can stand by and allow a whole region and way of life die. The cost of doing nothing is immense!
I will vote now to leave the EU if this is the type of thing they stand for!

Total disgrace to allow British jobs to go and lives to be ruined while we all accepting the punitive fuel rules which make this plant wrongly unprofitable.

Our government need to support the people of Redcar. Sometimes business and industry need help to get through difficult times and to be able to compete against other countries Money seems to be found for banks and farmers when it's needed. ! I hope people listen and support is given quickly ! Save steel making ! Strong support from Essex
