Please please please save our steel works as it's been in our area for many many years and please dont let all the people who work there including myself lose there jobs and put stress and worry into all of our lives.

Something has to be done to save steel making on Teesside. It has been the heart of the area and would be another major blow to financial outlook of a town already struggling for jobs and investment. The banks were helped out by the government when they needed it and Teesside needs help right now. It would save money long term in terms of benefit payouts, lost businesses which may have to close, higher crime rates and everything else that comes with an area struggling. The personal impact on families will also cause deverstation to some families who have multiple members working in this industry. Please help save an industry which has helped to build such iconic bridges such as the Sidney harbour bridge and a proud tradition on Teesside. Thank you for listening

I work on the concast plant. I would like the government to take a moment to think, your wanting to get everyone into work, then why would you let so many skilled workers become unemployed, it does not make sense.
