If the steel works close down there will be thousands more jobs lost in this area we need these jobs it's one of the biggest employers here we need HELP

Been through all of this in 2010. Wonder how many others got a bad feeling when they saw the RBF being 'blown down' again. Do not have a lot of hope regards the Government ability/willingness to intervene!

I worked for for 40 years at Teesside Steel Works. From the Dorman Long Works to Tata Steel. My father also worked there all his life, and my Son is still there now! My Father is long gone and I've been retired for 15 years. If this plant is closed it would mean devastation to the whole Teesside area and beyond. It must get the help and support it so desperately deserves!

British steel is renowned all over the world as top quality, being used in many landmarks including sydneys harbour bridge. Teessiders are proud of their heritage, keep lighting the sky!

This government has talked plenty about creating a northern powerhouse. Now is the time for them act, to save jobs, to protect the local economy and to prove the northern powerhouse is something more than just empty rhetoric.

shame they did not steal millions from the public purse. the government would then break their necks to help steelworkers
