We hereby petition the United States Government to initiate, coordinate, and materially participate in an effort to deliver humanitarian supplies of food, water, and emergency medical supplies to those cities in Syria that are currently under siege by the forces of President Assad.

The government of President Assad has laid siege to rebel-held areas of the country's largest city, Aleppo, and numerous smaller cities, like Madaya, not far outside the capital, Damascus. Due to these sieges, there are critical shortages of food, water, and medical supplies, and innocent civilians are suffering and dying needlessly as a result.

A humanitarian airlift that delivers food, water, and medical supplies to these areas is critical to the survival of the civilians in these besieged cities and towns. All human life is precious, and we should not allow these innocent people to starve to death when we have the power to stop it.
