Time for EDC Education Committee to waken up and smell the coffee! You should know it makes sense to retain St. Joseph's Primary School in Milngavie. Everyone else does!

Why close a good school with excellent teachers?

An excellent school in which the children get a really good education, which must show in their results. This school should NOT even consider being closed.

East Dunbartonshiire council should seriously consider the alternative options presented to them as the closure of this school would have a huge social impact on the community of Milngavie.

This school is a hub for the local community. The children should have a local school that they can walk to and feel they belong to - not get bussed to another area. Community spirit has never been needed more.

Having seen what happens when local catholic provisions are closed I fully believe st Joseph's should be saved. Closure would lead to children attending non denom schools rather than a bus ride miles away and the catholic community would fade.
