We were so excited to join the SJS family with our kindergartener this year. They strive for excellence in all they do and they deserve to continue!

My grandson goes to St Jerome’ and his 3 older brothers went there. The closing is a disgrace.

This school is an invaluable resource for Weymouth. It needs to be saved.

10 years we have been with this school. We love everything about it. This is very unjust to close this school. We have the funds, the credentials, we meet the Covid criteria etc. The archdiocese has no truth to there basis to close our school. You are incredibly hurting our children, facility, families and community. What are you doing to our faith ? You will have to answer to God just remember this !

St. Jerome School has helped shape and change the lives of countless people. The excellent teachers who have taught there since it was established have nurtured faith, inspired vocations and provided first rate education. The value of a Catholic education far exceeds the academic excellence they are known for, the school and faculty also help form young men and women morally and spiritually. I feel blessed that my children all attended St. Jerome as it has positively impacted their successes in life and I wish the same for present and future students in the community. Please know that it is the families from the local school that in turn fill the neighborhood church on Sunday. By closing the school and steering families to other parishes you are breaking down communities instead of building them up. You are fracturing the fellowship that our churches and communities need now more than ever while also risking declining attendance at Mass. Families are suffering right now because of the impact of the global pandemic. This is not the right time to strike families when they need support the most. The families who have sacrificed so much to make the choice of a catholic education for their children do not deserve this blow right now. They deserve the chance to help save their school. Next year could be a year where a small classroom is more desirable and safer than ever. In driving by the students and families as they peacefully rallied in front of school last week I witnessed loud and boisterous support from passers by. These families deserve the support of the archdiocese as well. Please consider saving out cherished school!
