please do not keep closing our churches....we'd all need to have neighborhood community churches for support in such a difficult world.

As a New Yorker I am very proud of the example this church sets by tending to the needs of all of those who call this church their home.

Make sure you serve the needs of catholic Deaf community. It would be a shame to see that group disappear, which is what can happen if they need to look elsewhere...

If there is no financial need and the building is sound, why is there a need to merge? Is it due to a priest shortage? If yes, understand that this priest is needed to lead this congregation. Would you merge a Spanish parish with a Polish one? No, because you know it would not work. English and ASL are two separate languages. Please keep this church and this priest as is. Please!

It is important for deaf parishioners to have their own building and parish and be able to communicate and take leadership roles withoug interpreters.

Instead of closing this church they should be promoting it and it's services for the deaf. These services are desperately needed.

St. Elizabeth’s is truly a beautiful church. Please visit www.facebook.com/friendsofstelizabeth and see the beautiful photographs that I posted under “Photos”, “Friends of St. Elizabeth of Hungary”. This magnificent church nourishes and strengthens our faith.
