It would be very sad to see this beautiful Church close, especially when it caters so well for the deaf.

We have to fight to keep our church, just like the early Christians had to fight to keep theirs, that’s why we have Catholicism today. This is what it means to have a strong faith. We fight for our families, friends, and all those who come to St. Elizabeth’s.

I think Christian compassion is what we need here, to allow St. Elizabeth’s to continue to have regular Sunday Masses and the sacraments, for those who have not drifted from the Church and don’t want to drift away.

Where should to the NY deaf, the elderly, the walking-impaired, and to the parishioners of St. Stephen of Hungary, who may not be able to walk to St. Monica’s go? Please keep St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church open.

It's heartening to see people speaking out to a church hierarchy that desperately needs to improve its listening skills. The truly deaf appear to be located in the hierarchy, not among the parishioners of St. Elizabeth's.
