SAVE OUR GREENBELT! This beautiful village would be ruined by any development on our greenbelt. The extra developments would tarnish the amazing community feeling our village currently has and the strain in which extra residents in Springwell would have on the infrastructure is unthinkable!

Although I live in Canada, I have visited Springwell Village many times. It is a lovely place, surrounded by green fields - a rarity in this day and age.

Development on this greenbelt land will further extend urban sprawl, where there is other more appropriate brown field sites that could be developed before using such land.

The greed of a few shouldn't ruin something for so many people.

I would like to see the green belt stay, there is plenty of space withing the current nearby towns and villages to house the populatuion there is no need to use the green spaces. It is the countryside feel about washington and the surrounding areas such as springwell which make it such a pleasure for working people to live in.

At this rate, there will be little or no greenbelt between Gateshead and Sunderland!

There are so many brownfield sites around Gateshead and Washington that there can be no justifiable reason to build on a designated green belt area.
