If it ain't broke, please don't fix it. There are so many other things that CMS could focus on.

My sons will leave the Language program if it doesn’t stay at South Meck. We moved into South Meck to ensure that they would go there. So whatever you do should only effect students starting now so that they understand where they will go to school. Stop changing things in the middle of kids school careers.

Please do not tear apart the successful world languages program. We want it to stay at South Meck!!! If you move the program - it will split the program in two as many families will remain at south and others will be forced to move or disperse to home schools. It would take a decade for this program to recover.

It’s a disgrace for CMS to make moves like this on current families who “just have to deal with it”. They know many of these current families will be gone eventually, and it appears they mistreat the language program with that in mind. It is a shameful state of mind to have little to no regard for someone just because you can get away with it.

My children both attended the world language program at South Meck and loved being part of a vibrant and diverse student body. Opportunities abound for those who are willing to learn. Don't weaken and undermine the success of South Meck!

I think this us an unbecesary change and CMS needs to honor the needs of the community. My son would greatly benefit from this program and would be a shame that this is taken away. Please consider what is BEST for our children. Diversity is what makes this country rich!!!

Maintain the World Languages program at South Meck HS. Consider a single magnet theme for the future Waddell HS so as not to dilute the focus, resources and support of multiple magnets at one school. STEM or Cambridge focus would be great but, both seem like too much to manage admistratively, staffing-wise and with regard to resources.

My kids benefitted greatly from the World Language program being at South Meck - not just from the language program, but also from the diversity at the school and from the other great opportunities at South Meck, such as the Bands and AP offerings. What a shame it would be to weaken South Meck by removing the World Language program!

The existing program is successful and has become integral to the culture at South. Moving it seems wasteful and needlessly disruptive.

Hi, it is NOT good that, this program be changed the way it is, it’s working perfect, teacher/students bonding is amazing, I don’t know what the real purpose of all this change is,but I’m sure is not for the benefit of our children, we’ve made many sacrifices, changing address and other things for our children be on SMHS, if the purpose would be for helping MPHS,well they can use waddell, that is closer to them than south Meck is, so I see that this is racial, some people want SMHS become a only white people school, forgetting that this nation it’s been built on mixtures of races.

Absolutely agree! Dismantling a successful program would be the wrong approach for CMS!
