Locals have enjoyed these bays/ocean access for centuries, closing access, even for wildlife is completely AGAINST what Hawai'i culture of coexistence is all about. We can respect the wildlife without having to make these drastic changes, which would be illegal anyway! There is no such thing as a "private beach" in Hawai'i, so there can be no "restricted access" allowed.

Please do not shut down the bays. There are far more important issues at hand. And much better ways to educate the public on how to behave with ocean animals . Enforcing this is essentially just hoping to move all the tourism towards the hotels area.

Yes, please give the dolfins some time off each day.

Please don't close the bays. Go after commercial businesses breaking the rules, not all individuals trying to access the water.

Do not restrict this. And please, do us a favor and leave the rule making to us locals, bad not the NOAA.

I am against the bay closure to swimmers and divers.

These bays should be open to all foot traffic, shore drivers. We are not the problem!

Freediving training has zero environmental impact and as such should not be restricted.

I have swam in these areas for my whole life. This would be a huge loss for a lot of locals!

Freedivers have no negative impact on the dolphins in these bays. Almost all feedivers are ocean advocates and support these animals and their well being.

This is ruining locals access to the ocean. Please regulate tourism instead

I believe there are better alternatives towards educating people on sleep cycles of cetaceans.

We must keep access to the water and swimming.

These proposed closures are an overeach on upon our basic human rights.

We have been coming to Kona for over 13 years specifically to dive and swim in these waters. We come for the clarity and the depth not the dolphins. We support small businesses while we’re there since we operate one on kauai. This would be a total loss.
