If tax fairness is the motivation behind Liberal tax policy, then where is the family income splitting proposal?

Please make this bill fairer to small business'. We're not all crooks and shouldn't be treated like employees as we don't benefit the same way, no paid sick days, no pension plans... Stop this nonsense and make it right.

As a single mother on welfare trying to start a small business to start supporting myself this move by the liberal gov is VERY discouraging. How am I supposed to get back on my feet when the very person kicking me while I'm down is the one I trusted to help me.

These changes are far reaching and impact a much larger base than is being indicated by the government. Time to review all tax rules is necessary for fairness to be acheived.

This along with the minimum wage increase and cpp increases will close down small and medium size businesses. Just when our economy is turning around, we will plunge it back in to a recession

There needs to be a longer more thorough discussion w small business people and acountants and the government before any major changes are considered,
There is too much at stake..

I am outraged by the Liberal government's heavy handed money grab and their blatant desire to tax small business owners into oblivion, ostensibly killing all entrepreneurial spirit in this country while penalizing those individuals who assume disproportionate risk in order to foster our nation' s economic growth! Deeply disturbing attempt by the Liberals to rectify their own irresponsible out of control spending! Deep shame on Morneau and government for this travesty!!!

This tax is unfair and targets the middle class and women which your government says it wants to help.. It will hurt the economy not help it as it will cut jobs. Most physicians employ several people and 99% are women. Think before you act of this destructive change.

The proposed change in the tax rules is both unjustified and unfair for small businesses, which account for the lion's share of job creation this country. Instead of trying to squeeze the life out of tens of thousands of small businesses That make this country strong, the federal government should instead focus on reducing its wasteful overspending which runs into the tens of billions of dollars per year.

If Morneau and his band of high brows want to jump in with we, the small business owners in Canada and give up their fat, guaranteed salaries, gold plated pensions and platinum plated benefits and take some risk then they may have some legitimate concern for the tax system. Until they have done that, they need to understand that WE create jobs, WE pay our taxes and WE drive the Canadian economy. That goes for you, too, Ms. Wynn.

I live in Kingston Ontario, a city that supports innovation and entrepreneurship. Aside from our rich history, one of the most endearing things about living in the city, or coming to visit as a tourist, is the many and various locally owned and operated small business. From small food suppliers, to restaurants, to music, craft and sporting good stores and hundreds more locally run businesses. People love and come to Kingston because of these places and the people that operate them. The culture and rhythm of Kingston streets is what it is because of these small businesses and the welcoming risk takers that operate them. These changes will limit them and ultimately stifle grown and development of the city. I would argue that the same could be said for business owners and cities across Canada. K7L3B4

We still pay corporate tax, and tax again when the money is taken out of the corporation. However, in the meantime, we can earn income (that is taxed) inside the corporation that serves as a pension when withdrawn. I am strongly against the proposed tax reform.
