With widespread panic over the COVID-19 virus, there has been talk regarding the possible cancellation of Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, TN. This event is one that hundreds of high school performers anticipate for four years. We are begging that the event not be cancelled. In addition, we have each paid hundreds of dollars to attend the event. If a person or family elects not to come or self-quarantines, that is up to them. To school districts, the city of Nashville, and the owners of the Grand Ole Opry, please do not strip us of this opportunity that we have waited so long to experience.

It was one of my favorite moments in high school to not just play on that historic stage but also meeting people from choirs in different parts of the country
Show choir was the ONLY reason I went to any classes, if you miss class you miss a competition, without competitions that incentive is gone.
As a senior, and 4 year singer/dancer, our very last competition, The Fairfield Crystal Classic, has just been cancelled so I know the feeling of this for any senior anticipating this event. Please, to the and your best ability continue as planned for this event, it’s absolutely crushing to know your last chance to perform with your family/team has/had been taken away for prevention reasons.
I have paid $750 since the beginning of the school year, getting prepped up for it, and I wish that it wasn't cancelled.
We as grandparents of a Senior are looking forward to see our Grandson perform his last performance on the stage of the Grand Old Opry. Please don't deny us that chance.
