My sons, cousins, sisters, brother and I love the kids stuff. Story time and the toys are how they are able to learn to love and interact with nature

We have visited Shipley Nature. Center many times with our grandchildren. This interactive area is an excellent educational opportunity for children. Young children need this kind of hands-on experience to help them understand the world around them.

I don't see any logical reason why these things should be removed.

My son really enjoys it just the way it is. Sounds like it will be a lot less interesting for him if all the things he can play with are removed.

Dave Winkler the appointed city Ranger of Shipley worked there for many years. He hired a young art student, to paint the mural on the wall. She is now a Children's Book Illustrator and has done several published books.
The center has been a very hands on experience from the beginning. He encouraged kids to come in and touch, feel, discover, manipulate and most of all be kids...He engaged with the kids and promoted their inquisitive nature about nature.
I hope that people today still value what this petition is trying to do and hold on to....I do!

Save Shipley's for the kids!!! With all the new development going on in this city it is becoming clear to me that families are not the the "target" market. Such a shame. :(

come on really? Why would you do such a cruddy thing? Some kids depend on the sensory part .... Most learn best this way. Just wrong !
