Been going to this park since I was a small child with all the family coming up from Liverpool. Carried on through the years, taking nieces and nephews and now my own babies. There is not many place to take children for a free afternoon out! It's ideal to take a little picnic, and spend hours playing and roaming round this brill park. It will be such a awful shame if this park goes!!!!

A disgrace how it is always the people of sutton who have to suffer.First they close our swimming baths at Sutton and now they want to destroy our park.Go and make your council cut backs in Eccleston or Rainford instead. Who voted for this pile of s**** for our council .

They can't get rid of this. There is nothing to do in sthelens with your kids as it is and pets corner is free. I think many people will be upset and angry if they get rid of it. Don't do this to the people of sthelens.

First you take our swimming pool, now you want the golf and pets corner!! We'll be left with nothing. No wonder people don't visit St. Helens anymore.

The council seriously have to reconsider.as a member of the golf course for many years the effect would be a discrace to the local council.

Don't take these away from Sherdley Park. The two bring so much enjoyment to both young and old.

Anything cultural within the area is slowly being broken down by the council and then they wonder why nobody visits the town? Raising the rent of retail space preventing independents to thrive is enough, taking away a small petting zoo just to build more (unrequired) housing/another Aldi is a bit of a low. Greed is a terrible thing.

The council seriously have to reconsider. Sherdley golf course is by far the best municipal golf course for miles, this was the place I started to play golf at the age of 13 - myself and many other golfers probably wouldn't of started playing the game had we not of had the course and driving range available in St helens!

Breakdown of social space is wrong and will impact the culture of St. Helens. Children deserve somewhere to go

Surely the golf course is profitable, if not then make it... rather than lose the jobs. Must be other land that doesn't actually employ people that's sellable!
