Please, Please keep St Francis of Assisi School open. The South Shore is losing more and more of the opportunity for Faith Based Education.

Dear Cardinal O'Malley,
With all that is going on in the world today, these children need some normalcy. Something that they can feel has not changed for them.
Please consider keeping these schools open.

I taught kindergarten at this school early on in my teaching career. It was a wonderful community and the teachers, staff and students were all a big family. I would be so saddened to see it close, especially during such an emotional and challenging time for students and families right now.

From the first graduating class of 1968. So much of my Catholic foundation was due to this school. Do not close it!

Sounds like maximizing profits has became me more important than raising children. This will be a last and lasting lesson the children won’t forget! And we wonder why the Church is shrinking?

The Catholic Church is shrinking, drifting and forgetting about the sacrifices made by the faithful that build the Catholic schools, churches, hospitals when there weren't any in the United States. Maybe our Catholic universities can help sponsor some of these parochial schools? After all, what good is a Catholic university without Catholics? Cardinal O'Malley is a wise man and an excellent leader - it's time to act boldly to start turning the secular tide killing our country. Saving SFA is one small step in the right direction.

I fully agree with all stated in this petition. This decision has left our children and parents and certainly teachers at a loss. There was not enough notice given to even try to effect change nor prepare our children and families with the ability to plan. This is a huge injustice.
