It is hard to believe that you will not consider reversing the decision to close SFA school in light of all previous comments in the Parent is letter. It is true that at a point in the Covid pandemic private schools were loosing students causing extremely low enrollment numbers . It is clear at this time and date August 3, 2020 that all private schools , parochial school being No exception are currently bathing in a gift of the pandemic which is over enrollment with exceptionally extensive Wait Lists. It is time for the SFA administrators and the Cardinal to look deeply into the original purpose their calling , their responsibilities to the Children and the Community and open their hearts to clear their conscience to do the best they can now .This pandemic is the work of the Satan. Don’t enable the Satan. Please don’t give up . Keep fighting to make this the best it can be under the current circumstances. Open SFA ,please. Get these children back to school in September 2020 . Save the Education of these Children. Save their happiness. minds, psyche and souls. We know that you are able to do this . Please don’t let the children be the LOST Covid Generation.

I attended St Francis in the 70's and early 80's My faith was realized and fostered here. Catholic school is important for young people to learn and grow to understand Jesus presence in our lives

My mom and all her siblings were educated here and my sisters and I all had CCD here. My recently passed grandmother was once very involved in the school and I know she would be heartbroken to hear it is closing. Please consider keeping it open for the benefit of the local church community.

I live in Braintree, but have taught in Greater Boston all my life--in Cathoic schools and in public schools in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston. I lived through the shuttering of St. Mary's High School in Cambridge and fought to keep it open--even though the times were more than challenging. At the time, the school welcomes students from both sides of the river--and staff--lay and religious took pay cuts to keep it open. We were no match for claims of the Archdiocese that the school was a financial burden--and not the blessing it was in troubled times. It actively promoted values of justice, of equity both in it programs, curriculum, and administrative structure. It served a working class population and was a forerunner in promoting racial justice. Do not allow this school to close. Too many hearts and minds will suffer.
