Barry Avenue is an important and almost intact repository of contributing structures--this is a splendid building on its own merits, with the important addition of the rich history of the Serbian community in Chicago. Please make every effort to save it.

I grew up on this block and witnessed the destruction of wonderful buildings in the 1960s. Please protect the remainder of the wonderful historic buildings that tell chicago's history!

I believe the Serbian American museum is a part of the Serbian culture in Chicago and it should be ALANDMARK, we can't loose any more rich in history and culture buildings due to a development of new apartament complex.

The building at 448 W. Barry Avenue in Chicago obtained Historical Landmark Status decades ago. This structure has protected status and cannot be sold, razed, or rehabilitated without keeping that in mind.
