I grew up walking these red tiles to t-street beach and so did my children. i hope my grandchildren can too!

It would be the height of foolishness to deprive our city of one of its most iconic elements. Please save our unique sidewalks.

Of course I am in favor of the Ole Hanson Replicas. I am the proud manufacturer of them and a big fan of the Village of San Clemente. This reproduction project began with two local AMERICAN artisans who worked together to create the most authentic replicas. Yes I am worried about the expansion of the city but with attention to details we can prevent the city from quickly becoming "anytown" USA. An image of replica strip malls is much more offensive than the investment in its unique beauty. Life is the balance of form and function! It is also our responsibility to create conditions for future generations to remember the histories of our local cultures. Great value should be put into our preservation especially in our race against short term history.

Yes, let's stay with red tiles for sidewalks everyplace where it makes sense. Not always the best solution so we have to be flexible.

How is this even being considered??!! Red tile roofs and sidewalks are classic San Clemente staples that are very much a part of the town's unique character. To remove and replace them with "anywhere USA" cement would be criminal! While you're at it, why not tear down the Miramar, burn the pier, bulldoze Casa Romantica and stop selling Rainbows! Leave SC charm alone!

OMG, ripping out the unique red bricks is absolutely wrong. San Clemente has a very unique character as a town. Red Bricks are a part of its History!
