Due to the target of the University to make the top 5 rankings in BUCS (British University and College Sport), changes are being made in sport. Part of the proposed changes involve moving all rugby to University Park, in effect dissolving the rugby teams on SB. We have fought to convey the point that travelling to University Park regularly for training and games may be infeasible for students residing in Kegworth and Sutton Bonington, both due to time constraints and money. Sutton Bonington is unique within the University of Nottingham and as such should be allowed to preserve our spirit and culture, as embodied by our rugby teams.
