Asda management have recently changed their policy for the use of the Community Centre. Unfortunately this means the Saturday morning Slimming World session is no longer able to be held there.

I feel this will be a great loss to the community as we have helped so many with their weight, health and confidence issues and I really feel that the location of the Community Centre plays a big part in the success of this Slimming World group. There are many reasons why the popular location are so important with parking, disabled access and the general convenience of the store to name but a few.

I currently have 150+ regular members attending our weekly sessions with that number growing every week along with other members coming to this group when unable to attend their regular session due to the well known location of Asda itself.

I believe that re-locating would be a great loss to members and would also have a detrimental affect on those unable to carry on with Slimming World and the weight losses and life style changes that I am so proud they have achieved.

So please can I ask you to sign this petition and help save our Saturday morning Slimming World session at Asda

I feel so much healthier since losing weight with Slimming World. The loss of the Saturday class, particularly for working members and busy mums, will be a great loss to the local community at a time when the NHS is overstretched.

Closing this group willl have a huge impact for members of your community that attend weekly for support on losing weight and improving their health and lifestyles. This could have a devasting impact on them being unable to attend at another venue. Which is not an option for many.

S.W. is a great organisation. Members meetings encourage healthy eating. Leaving full of good intentions in this locality means you can be focused and immediately buy what you need to stay on track in your quest. This decision baffles me and will certainly mean a loss of trade in the store....particularly in the green grocery section!

How can you decide that this is no longer worth it? By all means implement different rules for new groups that approach you, but don't you think existing groups should be able to run under the criteria you welcomed them under?

I am amazed that Asda intend stopping this session as it is invaluable to both the community and the store. Surely this is a win/win situation? Please rethink Asda........Hollie runs a great class and you will have a detrimental effect on her livelihood as well. Surely this is not in line with your Community ethics...

Just started today and feel that using Asda helps me as I can buy what I need straight away. This must help Asda too. If it is a community room and no one else wants the room at this time then it seems petty to kick SW out. Change your mind Asda
