Only knew about this petition after seeing notice near bridge over station. Why isn't there more publicity around town about it?

It's a disgrace at present. If sold it should have a clause to repair it and penalty if it is not done within a stated date

SALTASH - The gateway to Cornwall and what do we see a shambles of an historic building falling into more and more disrepair. It was my understanding ,because I wanted to buy a few years back, that the purchaser could only purchase on the condition that the property was made good and did not fall into further disrepair . This was the town council responsibility to ensure the purchaser complied. Doesn't seem to have happened. If the present owner is not prepared to comply after all this time then we simply buy it back and get on with bringing the property back to its former glory. Happy to share a few thousand with Saltash Station Renew Syndicate. (SSRS) Alan

We are part of one of the most historic parts of the railway and our staition is a run down mess. lets make saltash proud and save it .

have seen this place at it's best and now at it's worst. Who needs a talking plastic figure and a tall plastic cross ??? the bridge is a work of art and the first station in corwall is a DUMP.

I remember playing in the waiting room for my grandparents to arrive for their summer and Christmas holidays. Such an important piece of saltas and Cornwalls heriitage.

The station needs to be attractive and welcoming and have station facilities - at the least toilets and refreshments.
