I'm a big supporter of this. The areas of sidewalk that have been going in around Salem make the town look like a manufactured suburb. This is a beautiful coastal town with more historical significance than most and brick upholds that history and aesthetic.

We love our brick and cobblestones, seems like a no brainer if it lasts longer and easy to install. Not sure why so much money goes to other avenues in this city...we don't need more luxury apartments which forces out those that grew up here. Greed of those buying up all the properties and renting out for insane amounts is a real disgusting thing happening here. And then they do these patches/destroy historic sites or block sunlight because they want to build up. I love Salem and I want people to move here, but everyone should have a fair chance to enjoy this city--not just the rich tech and finance bros...

I love the historical magic of Salem. As someone who struggles with mobility but loves walking - the city sidewalks are incredibly inaccessible for the elderly and people with mobility issues such as, requiring a cane, wheelchair or those that suffer from arthritis in the joints. The brick sidewalks are beautiful and add character - let's do what we can to preserve them.

I'm from Chicago. I had the amazing pleasure to visit Salem last year. One of the many marvelous things about the trip was the cobble stones. Sounds silly but it was amazing to be able to see, walk and experience them, please, please save them! Please keep this history alive

Keep ... and properly maintain ... the brick sidewalks. They are core to the history and to the charm of our city, AND also need to be maintained consistently to ensure safety and accessibility.

Salem is loved for its history, we cannot chip away at that. Sometimes it makes sense to modernize but this is not one of those times.
