It isnt necessary. There are plenty of other places in Salem to drink and be rowdy. The highlight of the Willows is, and always has been, and should continue to be the Line. Strolling for ice cream, clams and popcorn while your little ones go on the rides.

Except for the seasonal food stands, this is a residential neighborhood, and not suitable for a bar.

This would be a nightmare for this neighborhood

Keep the values as they were meant to be. This is a family venue. No need to destroy a place families , couples, friends go just to enjoy the area.

Growing up in Salem, the Willows was always a highlight of our childhood. Let’s keep it safe and family friendly. There are plenty of bars at Pickering Wharf and downtown - let’s let our kids and grandkids enjoy the simple beauty of this place.

I was born and raised in Salem. Though I now live in Phoenix, the Willows was a place I wanted my kids to experience. We should keep it as it has always been, a family friendly environment where adults and children have fun and make wonderful memories.

I agree with all others. No need to have another place to potentially degrade the neighborhood. Leave well enough alone!

This would destroy the Willows. I have been visiting here for over 60 years. A music and alcohol venue will hurt the green space and eliminate a beautiful area in Salem.

Adding liquor to this park is a very bad idea. It's family oriented, is super crowded on-season, and can get rowdy with no legal alcohol whatsoever. Parking is always at a premium also, and overflows into residential areas. We need city officials to support city residents, not outside interests looking to capitalize on us!

I'd rather see the rides of my youth return to the Willows.

The family integrity that has always been known at The Salem Willows would be destroyed if this is allowed. It would promote parental drinking while kids ran around the park unattended. While some may feel this acceptable, from a liability standpoint, it's just not responsible.
