Finally an intelligent drama on TV and what happens after 2 seasons? It gets axed. Please BBC spare some thought for the licence fee payers who would like to have the option of watching programmes that are not reality shows, re-runs of cookery/property programmes or sport.

Pleaase do not axe this program, it is one of the best things on tv, it is a million times better than some of the unintelligable crap that some people watch and vote upon. There are certain aspects that I do not understand, but for me that is part of the attraction in looking for explanations and sub plots. Thank you, Malcolm.

One of the rare programmes that captures the atmosphere and action of the Victorian Crime scene. Cannot believe it is even being considered for no more episodes

Violent but reflective of the era in which it is set. Changing the day of broadcast has done it no favours.
