This cinema has a vital role to play in Ripon and perhaps with a higher proportion of films with broad appeal it could still succeed in this growing town.

This cinema has been a central point in ripon for wonderful entertainment. It will be sadly missed.
In school holidays it has been vital to keep the children entertained .
I Hope something can be done to re open it .
I drove past today it looks so very sad

If Thirsk can have a thriving cinema I'm sure Ripon with the support of a volunteer system will also have a cinema to be proud of.

This is such an important asset to Ripon, where there are few enough facilities locally. It helps keep the city centre active and benefits the local hospitality businesses. I would be so sorry to see it go.
