They did the exact same thing here in the town where I live in. Track had been here since the 1950's and group cane in bought the track said they had big plans even built some very nice grandstands to replace the old. Wasn't but a few tears later they pulled he rug from under all the dirt track fans here. Closed the track and started development on subdivision and duplex's. I wish every year spring comes around that track was still there. It wasn't just a race track to alot of us but a place where we made lits of life long memories.

I grew up attending Richmond Raceway. They put on a great show and offer a great clean family friendly environment. You can’t find that in society anymore. Richmond Raceway is a part of Richmond history and should continue to be part of Richmond’s future. Stock car racing is a sport and a hobby not a threat to society.

Love this track!!! I started going here as a single mom needed somewhere to take my son and it's been 23 yrs and he still love this track
