Keep track open leave it alone

This track needs to stay open!!! We love it there!!

To whom it may concern with the city of Madison Co. leave the track alone Focus on things more important and you’ll be fine!!!

I would think those who’ve purchased homes near the track did extensive research regarding the area meaning they knew a dirt race car track was in the area. If one moves near a train track they don’t uproot the train track because the new homeowner doesn’t like the noise the homeowner either learn to live with it or move to another area. As stated above the track brings revenue to the area not only with purchases made in stores or hotel stays, but with businesses created to support the track. I know of at least one that supplies parts and fuel to the track and they are Richmond based. Instead of completely shutting down the track think of compromise or solution. For example, would residents be satisfied if races start and end earlier? This is a weekly event loved and shared between generations of a family. We don’t have a lot of anything that provides that type of togetherness anymore, but it’s certainly something we desperately need. The track atmosphere reminds you of a time before you had to be weary of anyone you came in contact with, a time where neighband strangers helped one another out of kindness, not reward or social media fame, a time where families spent time together without the interference of technology. It’d be sad to see a place that still provides that and sets good examples for our youth be closed.

Loving being at Richmond ! Where I first started racing and where my family goes to enjoy it them selfs !

This track has been in the same location longer than any housing project or bought a house. When people built they knew there was a race track next door why take away the right of an existing business originally the track was built away from a housing area it was the housing project's that was built around then not the other way around.

We drive from Corbin to visit Richmond Raceway every weekend. We buy gas and food in Richmond to benefit your local economy too. Please keep this family-friendly business open!

Stop trying to take away our fun.

That racetrack has done a lot for the economy of Richmond. It has generated revenue in motels and restaraunts for over 60 years. Thousands of people go there each and every year. Some local, and some out of town. One thing I don't understand about Madison Co. or other counties, is that they don't get behind something that people actually go to that creates revenue for the county instead of promoting a winery or something like that that not too many people care about. Cant get a road sign put up for a racetrack that thousands of people are trying to find, but the government can put one up for wineries all up and down the roads that might interest a couple of people a day.

Let's keep this track open and give Bill and his crew a chance I've seen nothing but positive things happening since they bought it

Thank the community need to realize how much money this race track ever weekend brings into Richmond people from out of state renting motels food fuel plus entertainment for the kids

This racetrack has brought so much joy to my family and I for years and years it would be suck a sad thing to see something that being so much to the families around be taken from us ! Keep Richmond race way !!!
