The off leash area is an established park use. There is a presumption in favor of such uses. The decision to close the park is arbitrary. The process by which this decision was made was unfair. Regrettably the appeal process lacks transparency. I remain hopeful that reasonable members of the community can find a solution which will balance competing concerns.

Please please please, please reconsider this decision to close our dog park. It is such a wonderful space, with wonderful people and Pat, and a really very important part of our community.

Please don't close this park. I am there regularly and most of the dog owners are very conscientous regarding the park rules.

Please keep the park open. It is a lovely space wtih great dogs and dog owners alike. It really is a treasure and it would be a shame to lose it.

How are we to exercise our dogs properly unless we have a reasonable place for them to run around? I think it's unreasonable to close the off-leash area for dogs in Rennie Park.
