I skated at RRR on a regular basis for years. It was like a second family, and I miss it terribly! I support a new Rink!

No, we cannot simply "just skate outside, instead". Redwood Roller Rink provided a community space for diverse skaters, particularly People of Color but also people with special needs and even fancy figure skaters who most certainly cannot "just go skate outside".

The benefits of recreational activities for the community is immeasurable. The Peninsula is sadly lacking in recreational facilities.

If we really want kids to be active and have fun socially then we need to provide the space for them to do that as a community.

Children, teens, and families need recreational facilities like skating. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from spending Saturday or Sunday afternoons at my local roller rink.
