People love to escape from the city of Las Vegas and go to red rock. That's what I love about it and love the fact that there are no homes or anything around it. It's peaceful.

As a journalist for Huffington Post, LA Times, and Las Vegas Weekly, I know that by encroaching on Red Rock that we sully one of Southern Nevada's greatest assets. We have so very little to be proud of—casinos only go so far, and often result in the city being ridiculed world round. But Red Rock—Red Rock gives us pride. Development so near the heart of Red Rock will be used as another example around the world of how uncultured and uneducated people in Southern Nevada are. If those homes go up, they're right.

Red Rock is a beautiful rural area in Las Vegas that I grew up hiking in an have created a lot of memories with friends there. Do not build homes in our Red Rock!!!!!!

Building in this area will not keep or preserve the beauty of Red Rock. The saying of "if you build it they will come" applies here. Undoubtedly, more traffic, threats of civilization to what wildlife cohabits the area, and of course crime and general degradation of such a beautiful area.

If Dan Reynolds has memories of this place, then a 15 year old girl all the way in VA will do everything she can to help.
