Do not ruin this beautiful natural area with your cookie cutter homes. There are already too many over developed areas out there. You are just plain greedy

How ridiculous. There are enough empty and unsold properties all over the county.

Red Rock Canyon is one of the most beautiful places in this country, and always my first stop when visiting Las Vegas. Please save it for all of us and for all future generations. Thank you for your time.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas for the past 22 years and I would hate to see a place I hold so many precious memories in and call a sanctuary be tarnished by urban development. We have enough of it in the city, let Red Rock be.

For over 50 years, I have enjoyed sharing the serene, peaceful, natural treasures of Red Rock Canyon area. Allowing higher traffic, construction noise, pollution, thousands of additional homes, would forever damage the natural environment. I have enjoyed the undisturbed area with hundreds of friends hiking, biking, camping, watching nature and slowly driving the true treasure. Tourists return to Las Vegas to share an untouched natural experience which adds to our economy. Won't you please help stop all new housing development in this pristine area filled with animals, birds and reptiles? Respectfully, Mike Kelley, Las Vegas

Is is sad to even be considering allowing this rezoning for development in Red Rock Area. Red Rock is one of the few areas left where parents can teach children about nature in a hands on practical way. To minimize the area simply so dense housing can be put in is pathetic. We all look to Red Rock for the peace and serenity that so often is not in our daily lives. To destroy what is an amazing recreational and back to nature area is inconceivable. Please dont!

Red Rock is such an amazing and beautiful place. It would truly be shame to ruin that by building yet another community that we just don't need.

As someone who has lived in and plans to move back to Vegas, I am deeply troubled by the lack of protection for this beautiful area. It should remain undeveloped so generations to come may enjoy the nature. Summerlin is already pushing the limits.

PLEASE NO! That's my happy place. The perfect place to wander when my family and I want to spend a day together. It is my home... don't take away my home.

I have on more occasions traveled from Europe to be and climb in Red Rocks--benefitting local businesses. I and I am sure many others wouldn't do this if these plans go through.

Growing up in Vegas, my biggest fear was that someone would start building too far into everyone's favorite escape. Please don't let it happen.
