Constructing buildings in this location would take away from the beauty of the area as well as reduce the possibility of going into nature away from buildings and urban sprawl. Vandalism of the park would surely increase.

There is enough desert in every other direction to build more of the typical ugly houses that Vegas is in love with. Another gated community in view of the red rocks would be disgusting.

Red Rock Canyon is a major economic draw for the area. A development such as this could very well hurt the destination status that Red Rocks currently enjoys.
