The entire area from Blue Diamond NV to Red Rock Is spectacular and should be preserved in as prisitine a condition as possible. Once destroyed by development, the area would be lost forever, never to be enjoyed for its natural beauty and serenity by all citizens. And an inexcusible loss of wildlife habitat.

I really don't understand what a housing development would add to Red Rock. Once you destroy this area, you can't put it back the way it was. Why not tear down some horrible area and make it better? The entire point of Red Rock is that it's an uninhibited natural area. It's stark beauty is the slow result of time. Undoing it with digging and blasting makes no sense to me. Once this is destroyed, the developer will just want to expand ("see, it wasn't that bad") until there is nothing left of Red Rock. This decision is vital because any backing down on national parks could set a precedent for future policy decisions. You can rebuild bridges, dams, and entire cities. You can't rebuild a national park.

I visit Red Rock Canyon an average of once per year for the last 30 years, spending plenty of travel money. If you develop this area, it will become much less scenic and a less desirable destination.

With similar much development over the years, leave the one piece of natural beauty we have left... it is bd enough we are so close to red Rock now...years ago it was much better, you are destroying an area that people from all over the world come to see. . Just go talk to the visitors and find that out.

We have enough housing...leave the rural areas as they were intended to be. More housing consumes more water....of which we are growing short. Rhodes is in it for the money...we must STOP this development; or others like him will destroy any open land they can build on.
