Why would you build a residential area in an area as beautiful as this?

The only thing that keeps me coming back to vegas many times a year is the fact that there is such beautiful wilderness nearby!

Expanding construction near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area will devastate the environment and the natural beauty. It is something that can not be restored and is not worth whatever monetary profit that is to be gained through construction.

Please don't rezone Red Rock! It is a beautiful display of what only Mother Nature can create and we do not have the right to destroy and pollute such a beautiful site. Our children and grandchildren deserve to behold the preserved landscape. McMansions and "little boxes on the hillside" that all "look just the same" do not belong there.

As someone who has had the fortune of growing up in a small town with strict zoning and code enforcement, next to a town with none, I know how quickly and easily a small rural community can turn into an unintended cesspool of slap up houses and poor neighbor hoods with high taxes.
Please limit construction accordingly and maintain zoning and use laws such that the natural beauty of the area is maintained.

A beautiful natural area that should NEVER be developed. Once you ruin it, it can never go back to what it was.

Red Rock Canyon is an amazing place where one can escape the madness that is Las Vegas and simply be in nature. Opening the area to developers would destroy that.

Development adjacent to Red Rocks is not the answer. Las Vegas needs redevelopment within its existing footprint!
I love red rock! Please keep the desert as it is
