Please preserve Red Rock Consertion Area for future generations. Humans have plenty of places to go.

There are plenty of places to build homes, but only one Red Rocks. Preserve this area for recreation and enjoyment of nature, for the multitudes who love this place and those like myself who can't wait to have the opportunity to experience it for myself!

I have been visiting Red Rocks to climb for over 20 years. I remember when there was a 15 or 20-minute gap between the edge of Vegas and the park entrance. The strip malls and subdivisions and cookie-cutter apartments are close enough as it is. This is one of the most beautiful places in the country, and it needs to not have a big splotch of suburbia ruining the views!

I spent two years of living in Vegas, and found this area to be a special place. Residential housing will definitely ruin it's solitude and appeal next to such a bustling city. This is a horrible mistake by the legislature of Nevada. Please keep this area for our children and their children.

Many of my friends have climbed here, they have only gorgeous anecdotes from RR. I haven't had the opportunity to go but in the near future I will, I hope this can help to protect the area from non-rural development!

I visit the area over ten times a year. The desert isn't a place for homes. It's a sacred habitat for wild life, a recreation area where people escape the monstrosities built on the Vegas Strip, and a place of rich history in many regards.

I love Red Rock Canyon. It is an amazing site that has not been overly populated like many other outdoor recreation destinations in the US. I do not think that the development is a good idea. I recognize that people want to live near the canyon, but I worry building this many homes there will have a negative effect through pollution and vandalism. I know Nevada is chalk full of land, and it seems like building something here is not necessary. That is my thought on the matter.
