County Commissioners: If you want to be re-elected you'd better listen to the people you are supposed to represent. There's one motivation behind this: Greed. Just stop. There are already so few places in close proximity to Vegas where we can get away from development and therein lies the value of Red Rocks - not in how it can be exploited for profit.

There is absolutely ZERO reason we as a people should be zoning for MORE homes in one of the most arid regions of this country! Let alone destroying one of the best climbing areas in the process. All the "carbon taxes" and solar panels in the world are meaningless until you idiots start living in an area with WATER, first and foremost! Sort yourself out "humanity"

While I do not live in the area, Red Rock Canyon is one of my favorite climbing areas. The accessibility while still feeling separate from the city is a major part of the draw for me.

This is a world class climbing and recreation area and one of the most beautiful places to escape from the Vegas sprawl. People come from all over the world to see THIS SPOT - not a bunch of high density buildings. Whether you climb or not, if you are from the Vegas area or not, it is in our communal best interest to leave this incredible and accessible area undeveloped.
