Keep Red Rock Rural

Please keep red rock rural. I visit Las Vegas a couple of times every year to visit Red Rock, and would not continue to come back without Red Rock.

Red Rock is a jewel in the eyes of the climbing community. Please keep it open to the public so future generations can see what we have seen.

My wife and I come to Las Vegas at least twice and generally stay on the strip and dine out and see shows but the PRIMARY reason is to come to Red Rock Canyon and rock climb. Please do not add to the development out there, you have such a special place there is really no reason to build houses there. I can tell you we will be less likely to visit in the future if the peacefulness of Red Rock is ruined with a housing development and we easily spend a few thousand dollars there every year.

You can never U-turn from destroying nature.

I come to visit Red Rock because of it's rural nature and proximity to a major city and travel hub. Turning the area on the other side of the ridge into a suburb would wreck this gift of nature and send me traveling to other locations in the southwest.

As a visitor to Red Rocks it's very important to me that development is restricted in the area, as what brings me to such an incredible spot is the isolation that is available in the desert. Adding additional housing in the area will cause great environmental changes, as even more water is needed to sustain the thousands of additional houses and will permanently change the feel of Red Rocks

This is one of Las Vegas' last natural gems!

This area is not the place to develop residentialy or commercially. The increased traffic alone would wreak havoc for the wildlife and visitors. This beloved area is a habitat for countless species of birds, reptiles and mammals, as well as a nearby nature area for recreational activities such as bicycling, hiking, rock climbing and horseback riding. It is an escape from the city of Las Vegas for residents, and a destination for tourists who love the outdoors. I have foigjt against this before and will continue to do so.

Save this place, it is a national treasure.

Please don't ruin this area. It is one of my favorites to climb in and I want everyone to be able to experience the desert like I did.

While visiting Vegas early this year, we went to Red Rock. Such a magnificent place. Don't destroy, please.
