The only reason I'm ever in the area is for climbing at Red Rock Canyon. There are people who stop by from all over the world, and not only would you lose an important piece of local culture, but the local businesses we visit would take a financial hit too. Reconsider, don't take away your city's history for real estate.

This is our one last place that is undisturbed by housing. We dont not need another beautiful area that will be over runned with track homes that most likely will half be without residents... LEAVE RED ROCK ALONE!!!

I climbed at Red Rock Canyon for the first time in March and will visit many times in the future! I was amazed by the amount of outdoor activity that takes place in the area (climbing, biking, long distance running), but concerned about further expansion of housing. This would bring additional traffic, air, light, and noise pollution, all undesirable factors for the local and visiting outdoor enthusiasts!

Red Rock should never be developed. All people should not have to spend time and energy worrying and pushing back against a greedy developer every couple years. Preserving and conserving recreation areas is democratic and American. Letting developers control land for the few is capitalism gone to the dark side.

This land is an important buffer between Red Rock Canyon and the city. The money from the BLM land surplus sale should be used to purchase important land that buffers national parkland from the city.

I love hiking here! It's beautiful and a great escape from the city. I love going to red rock especially when I've had a tough and stressful week.
