Keep Red Rock Rural

Keep and conserve natural lands for public use. Most of the younger generation has never even been out of the city. Red Rock is a natural resource that is actually close to the city, which is an encouragement. It is possible to get the youth out there since it's close. But making urban, our youth will never get out there or learn the importance of natural areas.

Please don't do this

Haven't you developed enough? Just another drain on water and other resources and for what, so you can put a little more coin in your pocket? I'm sure there are plenty of other corrupt avenues for you to go down and swindle. Why not leave this beautiful area alone? Climbers and hikers come and spend money too ya know.

I love Red Rock

A massive development right next to a National Conservation Area? Requiring re-zoning? In a notoriously arid area on the outskirts of the sprawl of an already water-starved city? Come on now...

Red rock canyon is a prime destination and will be spoiled by any development in this area. Please reconsider this plan

My favorite climbing area and the site of my wedding in 12/8 of this year... Oh hell no. Building there would be ruining your most valuable asset.

Plenty of places within the city to develop. This one should be left alone!

Please don't pass the zone changes to allow the building of more un-needed suburaban sprawl. The wildness of the area is the only saving grace that will make me want to visit Las Vegas. The development is unwanted and unneeded.

Red Rocks is a world class climbing destination. Please preserve it as such.

Please save the last of Vegas' wilderness from this abomination. I come to Red Rock several times a year and this would turn me and thousands of climbers, hikers and bikers who spend tons of money away.

The accessibility of Red Rock is the reason my partner and I chose to stay in Vegas. You can be in one of the United States' busiest cities, and with a 15 minute drive be in one of its absolutely most impressive vistas. That balance is what makes this place truly special. It's inspiring. A high density development would completely change that identity. Not just through the increased congestion, pollution, and water infrastructure that would damage the local ecosystem -- but by making a one of a kind rural escape another one of Las Vegas' spectacles to be exploited. I understand that not everyone sees the outdoors as something sacred and worth protecting as myself and the rest of the #saveredrock locals do, but by conserving the Red Rock Conservation area, we can perhaps give future generations the chance to see what we see.

I love red rock so much!! There's so much beauty there and I would hate to see it ruined! Please keep red rock as beautiful as it is!!

My favorite part of Vegas is Red Rock. I wouldn't have much reason to visit if it were gone!
