As a 27-year resident of Las Vegas, now Ely Nevada, I couldn't bear to see housing developments destroying Nature's Beauty. Red Rock Canyon National Recreation Area belongs to all not just those who can afford the million-dollar plus price tag for houses. Please do not build there.

As a climber, outdoor enthusiast, guide and outdoor educator. I am passionate about protecting our designated public lands. We can never have too many wild places to help us escape from society. I hope the committe does the right thing and protects this resource that is much more valuable that parking lots and sub-divisions.

Red rocks access is difficult enough as it is for climbers and recreationists here for more than a couple days. To put in such a significant development with no eye towards these access issues is irresponsible and frankly dismissive of the incredible natural resource nearby.
