Stick to your guns! Do not let them destroy red rock. Unbridled construction has been the biggest problem in the Las Vegas Valley for the last 30 years. Somebody has to have the courage to control it and put a stop to it.

Red Rock and the surrounding area is the only part of this city that is raw and natural and beautiful. It still allows people who visit or live here to have an outdoor destination to go to and explore. If we continue to develope closer and closer to Red Rock we will not only inhibit on the little area wildlife has left to call home but we may also drive away visitors and residence from visiting and exploring one in nature’s wonders. Please don’t turn what’s left into a concrete wasteland like the rest of the valley.

Red Rock provides a necessary benefit to Vegas residents and visitors: a quick, healing respite from the Vegas tumult. A large part of that benefit is the feeling one has of distance and complete separation from the urban / suburban environment, which would be permanently destroyed by the proposed development. Please keep it rural.

This land is loved by more then just the people of your town. It is to rare a place in the country as a whole to be bull dozed . Keep it as God made it.

As a guide who works in the Red Rock every spring and autumn, I petition you to not condsider allowing development that will forever change the nature of this national treasure. I also work during the summer in Grand Teton National Park, and the main reason the Tetons are such a treasure is because Rockefeller prevented future development in the visual surroundings of the range. Allowing the land to be developed commercially beyond its current state would change the face of the red rock forever - please prevent that from happening!

I visit this wonderful place often, I come to Vegas for the canyon. My wife and I do not go to Vegas for any other reason and this sort of thing would make us consider other destinations to spend our vacation dollars as we seek untouched nature, solitude, and ecological preservation of existing natural spaces. We were just in the canyon in November and had an amazing time, and we’re dissapointed that development seems to be the priority over the canyon. We understand economics and civil pressures, but there is so much land in the other directions, it makes us wonder, why encroach on the canyon? Hoping that you make the correct choice for the future citizens of your area. Be well and please consider voting this proposal down. Thank you.

The current zoning allows for 1500 houses--that is plenty of development! Please keep your promise to make the developer follow thru with the studies they have had 10 years to accomplish! No waivers! No shortcuts! Keep Redrock Rural!
