Red Rock is a beautiful and natural area that is held dearly by many members of UMD's rock climbing club. Development here would be a huge defeat for the outdoor community and conservation efforts.

Such a development would severely affect future generations who, before development, may have had the opportunity to see nature in it's pristine state, as opposed to being tarnished by high density population and the facilities needed to serve said population.

Red Rock is one of my favorite places to visit and enjoy the outdoors. Please, PLEASE don't reduce the amount of amazing outdoors we have available there.

This place is the only thing charming about the Las Vegas area. I can consider Vegas as a potential place to live someday but if this is place isn't protected I'll reconsider. When you don't value the natural places it will reduces home values in the entire region in the long term.

We travelled many times from Canada to Las Vegas only to enjoy the beauties of Red Rock and spend time walking and climbing in this truly unique place. We were never attracted by the tones of hotels, casinos, stores and other things that you can find in (too large) quantity in Las Vegas. What brought us was the wilderness that lies just a few kilometers away from the city. What a shame to hear that some business people and investors now want to take these lands nearby a world-class conservation area and turn them into what is to become just another forgotten suburb in ten years from now. Could we imagine something similar happening in Yosemite Valley, or in Arches National Park, or in Yellowstone? Of course not! So why in Red Rock???

Do not allow developers too close to Redrock. There is plenty of other land still available in the Las Vegas valley.
