I love this place and visit it multiple times in a year to climb. Please consider the impacts of urban sprawl and the fragile ecosystem that struggles to survive here. I encourage YOU to visit this place and really consider the impacts of further building. Keep it beautiful.

Please decline to change the zoning adjacent to Red Rock. Don't spoil the natural beauty of a special, wild place so close to Las Vegas.

I'm for a from an old-timer, but I have been climbing and guiding at Red Rock for 15 years. I have loved every trip there and value the serenity of the canyons that are so close, yet a world apart from the hustle and bustle of Vegas. I've watched the city creep closer and closer to Red Rock. It would be a shame for it to end up right at it's doorstep and highly visible to users and appreciators of such fantastic land.

That area, along with the small town of Blue Diamond with its rich history, should be preserved to keep the remote and beautiful nature of Red Rocks intact. While the demand to own housing in amongst the views of Red Rocks is high, developing the area to satiate that demand will only detract from the natural beauty that draws people there in the first place.

Leave wild places wild. We need them. We already have too much developed crap choking up the world. If you want to see it, drive to Los Angeles and enjoy.

I've travelled to Vegas to climb at Red Rocks for a decade and a half. It would be devastating to build up around such a unique beautiful landscape.
Please don't put homes so near red rock.
