Red Rock Conservation Area is an incredible national treasure. I have visited it many times and recommend everyone I know who travels to Las Vegas to visit it. Part of what makes it so special is that it feels so wild and remote even though it is so close to the city. Protecting the area around RRCA from development will help to keep this beautiful place feeling wild and still be so easy to access from Las Vegas.

Please don't rezone the Blue Diamond Mesa! I grew up in the southeast (GA) and as a young climber dreamed of coming west to places like Red Rock, Smith Rock, Indian Creek, etc.. Now having finally moved west, I have had the distinct pleasure of climbing in these incredible natural wonders including Red Rock 4 times now. In fact, Red Rock exceeded my expectations so much that I now have 2 trips a year planned for the foreseeable future, including an upcoming one this November. This place is a wonder has become a destination climbing spot and a mini-mecca for the emerging and fast growing sport. Please keep it wild!

Please keep the zoning in the immediate vicinity of Red Rock Canyon NCA rural. Do NOT permit condominiums. This area should be zoned for single family occupancy not to exceed 1 dwelling unit for each two acres.

Please don't approve the building of so many homes. The area of Calico Basin where I walk is already becoming dog poop and trash filled. Lone Mountain is becoming dirtier aa well. Please consider what other areas have done. If the owners must sell and build then require that it be residential only and each lot must be no less than 2 acres. These are often estate homes but they really can build average priced homes on the lot.
