Please do not allow this. There is plenty of open land available without encroaching on this area. We need to keep it rural.

Red Rocks climbing is some of the best in the country. America doesnt need more consimerism, it needs more natural beauty.

Red Rocks is the perfect getaway from Las Vegas. The huge city already offers so many amenities, homes, etc. Red Rocks is the last piece of preserved, untouched land and it needs to be kept that way.. I'm so glad this petition exists to stand up for those who use this land to GET AWAY from the city, not to keep building it in the most prestige, beautiful locations... Let's keep it preserved and untouched like it's meant to stay!!!

Dear Nevada, you'll only get my tourism dollars if places like this stay pristine.

The Red Rock Canyon area means more than a backdrop for houses and malls. There is no other place like it in the world. It is home to wild tortoises and mountain lions and coyotes, all of which, and more, will be threatened by the unnecessary encroachment of the same American cityscape that has already doomed many other natural places. Please, for the sake of a world that has existed long before we came along, refrain from building here.

I am a nature lover, and I fear losing these places of beauty. I am also the mother of a rock climbing, nature adventurer of a son. We need more safe wilderness places, not less.

It's really nice to take the senic drive leading towards red rock. It was nice back in the late 90s before the houses were built.

No! We cannot develop this incredible land. It has been here for millennia free for all who enter our valley to enjoy. It was my special place to go as soon as I got my drivers license at age 16 and as a native Nevadan I've been returning to it for 40 years....always to head black to town healed by its warm beauty. It is more than a landscape it is a place to ponder things of eternal worth. There is simply NOTHING like it in our valley. And even when you are on the freeways Jist looking in their direction, you get a glimpse of grandeur that fills your heart and soul with peace. Protect it! Please!
